One of the nice things about Tzfat is that there are endless possibilities for accommodations. There are many hostels and hotels, ranging from the 5-star Ruth Rimonim Hotel to simple inexpensive clean and pleasant inns. There are also many small intimate guest houses and B&Bs, which are tucked away in corners all over the city. Many people prefer the intimacy of these small niches.

Following is a listing of Old City/Artist Quarter accommodations. All of the following accommodations are known to the website administration as being clean and comfortable. The " Old City" refers to the Old Jewish Quarter of Tzfat, where most of the old synagogues and many of the Judaica galleries are located. The Artists Quarter is directly next to the Old Jewish Quarter, a 5-minute walk away, where many of the art galleries are located. Both are a few minutes' walk from Jerusalem Street, the main commercial street of Tzfat, where shops, coffee houses, pizza parlors, restaurants, and falafel/schwarma joints are situated.

A word to the wise. There are no restaurants or grocery stores open on Shabbat or Jewish holidays. Arrangements for meals should be considered. There are a number of places in Tzfat to order food ahead of time.
