Most of the restaurants, pizza parlors, falafel
stands, schwarma stands, and coffee houses in Tzfat are kosher, but the consumer
should always check to insure that the certificate is up-to-date. The Tzfat
Rabbinute gives a certification, and there is a mehadrin hechsher as well.
There are no restaurants open in the main part of town on Shabbat or
holidays. Visitors must plan ahead of time for their meals.
